2023 Property Values & Senate Bill 23B-001

Please note: 2023 property values do not reflect the SB23B-001 value reductions. An example of a residential property calculation is provided here.

 

On November 20, 2023, Governor Polis signed SB23B-001. For 2023 property tax year, the legislation temporarily reduces the assessment rate of multi-family residential property and all other residential property from 6.765% to 6.70%, and further reduces the actual value of residential properties from $15,000 to $55,000.

2023 Senior Tax Exemption Deadline Extended!

The Senior Exemption is available to those who:

  • Are at least 65 years of age before January 1 of the year of the application,
  • Owned their home for at least 10 consecutive years,
  • And occupied their home as a primary residence for at least 10 consecutive years before January 1.

May 22, 2023: Loveland Campus closed for the day

The Loveland Campus, a t200 Peridot Avenue, is closed today and will re-open to the public tomorrow. Property owners who scheduled an appointment with an appraiser have been notified to reschedule their appointment.

2024 Assessment Rates

Tax Year 2024 assessment rates are as follows:

  • Single Family Residential TBD pending legislation
  • Multi-Family Residential 6.80%
  • Agricultural 26.40%Renewable Energy (Personal, Commercial, and State Assessed Property) 26.40%. 
  • Generally, vacant land, commercial and other classifications are assessed at 29%.
