All Larimer County Offices, Courts, District Attorney, and Ranch offices are closed on July 3, 2026 to celebrate the Independence Day holiday.

The Larimer County Landfill will be open July 3rd and closed on July 4th.

LCSO Administrative Offices will be closed on July 1 from 10am - 5 pm.


Critical county services are not disrupted by closures.

Announcing the 8th Judicial District Bias-Motivated and Hate Crime Hotline

The 8th Judicial District Attorney’s Office is proud to announce the launch of a Bias-Motivated and Hate Crime Hotline to serve as an additional reporting tool for our community. In 2025, the District Attorney’s Office received questions from concerned community members about how best to report bias-motivated crimes, how to ensure their safety while reporting, and how our office could support those investigations and victims.

Ivan Gandara Sentenced to 22 Years

Today, Ivan Banuelos Gandara was sentenced to 22 years in the Department of Corrections, followed by 10 years of Sex Offender Intensive Supervised Probation. In March, Mr. Gandara pled guilty to Human Trafficking a Minor for Sexual Servitude, a class two felony, and Sexual Exploitation of a Child-Video, a class four felony.

Shane Bradley Mills Sentenced to 35 Years

Today, Shane Bradely Mills was sentenced to 35 years in the Department of Corrections after pleading guilty to Vehicular Homicide- DUI, a class three felony, and two counts of Vehicular Assault-DUI, a class four felony.
