DA wins 2022 Innovation Award

The District Attorney's Office was selected as grand prize winner for the 2022 Larimer County Innovation Award. The award recognizes the Law Enforcement Digital Evidence System (LEDES) that manages data from cameras worn by officers.

The Larimer County Innovation Awards Program honors creative methods, ideas, processes, and programs that have been implemented and are beneficial to the county.

New Citizens Academy - Application Period Now Open

This free, four-week academy will be held on consecutive Tuesdays and Thursday evenings from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., March 29th to April 21st, 2022.

Each of the eight classes explores the role of various departments within the office. The academy will give citizens an in-depth look at what happens from the time someone is arrested all the way through trial and sentencing.

Limited spaces are available. Preference will be given to applicants who live in the Eighth Judicial District (Larimer and Jackson Counties). Participants must be at least 18 years old, complete an application, and pass a criminal background check to be considered for attendance. Members of the media are welcome to apply.

The deadline for applications is March 11, 2022. Once the academy is full, applicants will be placed on a waiting list. Attendees will be notified of their acceptance into the academy no later than March 18th, 2022.

The Office of the District Attorney for the Eighth Judicial District is pleased to announce our involvement in the national Prosecutorial Performance Indicators (PPI) initiate. This project will provide both internal and external-facing data that provides information to the public concerning our processes and outcomes in order to measure performance towards three goals: Capacity and Efficiency, Community Safety and Well-being, and Fairness and Justice.
