The Workforce Development Board and Regionalism
The Workforce Development Board (WDB) prioritizes regionalism and workforce collaboration. In 2022, Larimer and Weld Counties signed a “Northern Colorado Regional Workforce Development Partnership Memorandum of Understanding” (MOU), resulting in both Boards meeting jointly twice annually to collaborate on regional talent efforts.
This collaboration is showcased by the new statewide unified brand, Workforce Colorado, with local workforce centers operating as Workforce Colorado Larimer and Workforce Colorado Weld. The regionalism is further demonstrated by the Boards' current oversight (2026) of the Opportunity Now Tactical Action Plans (House Bill 24-1365).
The Board also engages with NoCo Works, a coalition of regional partners whose guiding pillars were adopted by the WDB in 2023 for WIOA reporting and meeting content. NoCo Works’ website serves as a one-stop hub for workforce solutions—connecting businesses, job seekers, and service providers to trusted resources. Learn more about NoCo Works here.
