FAQs

  1. When do you hire?

We hire multiple times per year! Annually, we post summer conservation crew and individual site placement positions (May or June start date) in mid-February. We then post fall conservation crew and individual site placement positions (July or August start date) in May. Finally, we will post Water & Energy positions in October for a January start date.

The easiest place to find positions is on this webpage larimer.gov/lccc/joinus

Leadership and individual site placement positions typically have a close date before interviews begin while crew member positions are open until filled. Applying early is encouraged as crew member positions have rolling interviews.

  5. What will I gain from a season with LCCC?

All LCCC programs are set up to give you the skills you need to succeed in the workforce! All of our crew based (AmeriCorps) positions will have approximately two hours set aside each week for education. This education will be environmental, project or career readiness focused. We often organize resume workshops, career panels, project partner talks, and tours with related environmental organizations in the area. Our Individual Site Placement program offers a unique opportunity to work directly with an outside organization, reporting daily to their office and gaining hands on experience directly from their staff.

For all of our positions we provide specialized training which can include: Wilderness First Aid, S-212 (Wildland Fire Chain Saws), S-130/S-190 (Basic Firefighter), Cross Cut, and Low-Tech Process-Based Restoration to name a few.
