Adoption means taking a child into your home as a permanent family member. It means caring for and guiding children through their growing years and giving them the love and understanding they need to develop their full potential.

About the Process

Adoption is a legal process which permanently gives parental rights to adoptive parents. The adoption legal process begins when children and youth unable to return safely to their parents. Adoptive parents and representatives of the county department will work together to determine the resources available to support the child in the adoptive placement.  Families interested in adopting a child may contact Tracee Rudd at trudd@cokidsbelong.org.
