Service Connected Disability
Claim for injuries that occurred while on active duty
- Veterans
- Dependency Indemnity Compensation (Surviving spouse OR surviving children under the age of 18) - Veterans who passed away due to a service connected condition OR those veterans who were totally disabled for ten years prior to their passing
Non-Service Connected Pension
This benefit is based on income, net worth, and out of pocket medical expenses. The veteran must have had 90 days of active duty with at least one day during a war time period before 1980. If they served after 1980 they must have 24 months of consecutive service or completed their term of service or activation with at least one day during a war time period.
