On August 12, 2025, the Larimer County Board of County Commissioners passed a resolution describing a proposal for a 0.15% (15 cents on a one-hundred dollar purchase) county-wide Transportation Sales and Use Tax to fund road and bridge and other transportation improvements focused on safety, congestion, maintenance and mobility. The County can provide a mechanism for property owners in a subdivision to fund road improvements through an increased mill levy against residents of the subdivision. This is called a Public Improvement District (PID) and information on the PID process can be found here.
