This open house-style program is located at Eagle's Nest Open Space (near Livermore, CO). Telescopes will be set up in the dirt parking lot. Program is free. Parking is limited, carpooling is recommended. Registration is encouraged.

Be prepared to get messy! A parent or guardian must accompany the child for this program. Registration is required but program is free. This program will run at different locations throughout the summer.
Learn about how you can learn about what lives around us AND contribute to science using just your smartphone or camera and computer! Using iNaturalist, participants will learn key features of plants and animals to document to have the best chance of identifying their subject and contribute to the body of crowd-sourced scientific knowledge that is iNaturalist. All ages welcome!
We will start this program indoors at the Horsetooth Area Information Center before going outside to try out our new iNaturalist skills.

Becky Staab, a certified yoga instructor and Mindful Outdoor Experience Guide, will lead you on a Mindful Summer Solstice Nature Walk at Hermit Park Open Space. In honor of the Summer Solstice you will be invited to slow down, awaken your senses and relax into the beauty of nature with practices such as meditation, mindful walking, gentle stretches and forest bathing.

These 4–5-mile hikes will reveal fascinating aspects of the local flora, fauna, geology, and landscapes, making it not just a physical journey but an educational one too!

Let's get to know a bit more about our neighbors the prairie rattlesnake. Did you know they share almost all of our foothill properties with us? We will share truths, myths, and ways to enjoy your outings more while staying safe!
Participants will meet at the pavilion and then hike the Morrison Loop Trail (.5 miles). Most of the trail is unshaded.
This hike will be easy/moderate (slow pace, trails are rocky with some elevation change). Pit toilets and potable water are available at the trailhead. Challenges: Little shade, rocky trails.
