DENVER, Colo. – NoCo Places, a collaborative of eight federal, state, and county land management agencies in the northern Colorado Front Range, has released a Conservation and Recreation Vision for the region, an effort two years in the making. The visioning process also informed the development of an action plan to guide key projects for the next several years.
Recreators are welcome to return to Carter Lake for all standard recreation as of Friday, 9/20. This includes paddlecraft and motorized boating in all zones. We thank our community members for their patience while we partially restricted access to make way for fire scooper planes fighting the #PearlFire earlier in the week. Please be aware that fire suppression efforts are still ongoing and the status of Carter Lake recreation is subject to change.
LOVELAND: Larimer County Department of Natural Resources (LCDNR) invites the community to join us as we celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, Sept. 28 and throughout the preceding week.
