A Development Construction Permit (DCP) is an important step that helps move a project from planning to actual construction. It makes sure everyone involved knows the project’s plans, goals, and timeline. The permit also gives people a chance to go over the required construction rules, any other permits needed, and what needs to be done when the project is finished.
Appendix G, Design and Construction Standards for Private Local Access Roads, of the Larimer County Rural Area Road Standards defines the minimum requirements and guidelines for design and construction of private roads in Larimer County. These requirements and guidelines address emergency access, proper stormwater design, control of erosion from the area disturbed by the construction, and protection of water quality.
Larimer County Tourist Oriented Directional Signs (TODS) Program offers business identification and directional signs for businesses in rural Larimer County that serve tourists, travelers, and visitors from outside the immediate area. The signs are designed to guide motorists from the closest intersection of a county-maintained main road to the business location.
The program consists of two components:
People want to feel safe in their neighborhoods; they want to feel their streets are reasonably safe for all modes of transportation, including vehicles, walking, bicycling, horseback riding, etc.

Crash data are collected and used to monitor trends and problem locations on Larimer County maintained roadways. An interactive map showing crashes is available in Road Information Locator. Crashes are shown for the current year along with the previous three calendar years. Most crashes are available in the map within two months following the crash. Crashes on roadways not maintained by Larimer County are not tracked by Larimer County.
