A redemption payment is made to the Treasurer for the amount of delinquent taxes, delinquent interest, advertising fees, and any other additional costs incurred during the tax lien process.

PROPERTY VALUATION

The actual value of a property is determined by the Assessor. All real property in Colorado is reappraised on a two-year cycle, in odd-numbered years. In May 2025, Larimer County property owners received a Notice of Valuation (NOV) from the Assessor’s Office. 

The banks listed below accept property tax payments through the last business day in July for the current tax year. Banks will only accept a payment with your property tax coupon. Banks will accept payment by check, cash, money order, or cashier's check. Banks do not accept payments by credit card, debit card, or electronic check.

 

NOTICE TO A BORROWER IN FORECLOSURE: If your property goes to foreclosure auction sale and is purchased for more than the total owed to the lender and to all other lien holders, please contact the Public Trustee's office after the sale because you may have funds due to you. Borrowers do not need to pay any fee to the Public Trustee or any third party in order to collect excess funds.
