As of 7:45pm, the Alexander Mountain Fire was estimated to be 950 acres with 0% containment.
At approximately 10:38am on July 29th, the Larimer County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call reporting smoke in the mountains west of Sylvan Dale Ranch. A kayaker who was reported missing was found deceased Wednesday evening.
On Wednesday morning, at approximately 2:30am, a family member contacted the Larimer County Emergency Communications Center to report that their loved one had gone kayaking Tuesday evening, and was overdue to return home. The family member had spoken to the man on Tuesday afternoon and he had said that he was on the water at that time, but had been unable to reach him since.
