A Loveland area man has been arrested on 23 counts of burglary and theft charges.
In September of 2023, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a jet ski theft in the south Loveland area. Over several months, we received additional reports of other thefts in the Berthoud and south Loveland areas. These thefts occurred primarily at businesses and construction sites in the area.
A suspect has been arrested for human trafficking, and investigators are concerned about other potential victims.
In late February 2024, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a child sexual assault victim. The victim disclosed that the suspect offered her cash and paraphernalia in exchange for sexual acts with himself and others.
During this investigation, at least one additional juvenile victim has been identified.
The suspect, identified as Ivan Banuelos Gandara (DOB 11/20/02), was arrested on the following charges:
Nine suspects were arrested during an overnight fugitive apprehension operation.
On the evening of April 17, 2024, the Larimer County Sheriff's Office and the Estes Park Police Department partnered to increase public safety in southwest Larimer County. Both agencies learned that a number of wanted individuals were likely in Estes Park and the unincorporated Estes Valley. In response to this, LCSO and EPPD conducted a joint operation to reduce the amount of outstanding warrants in the area.
A homicide suspect took his own life after eluding multiple law enforcement agencies on Saturday morning.
On April 13, 2024 around 2:00 a.m., Larimer County Sheriff’s Office Dispatch received an interagency notification about an armed suspect driving toward Colorado from Cheyenne. Wyoming authorities had located the man, who was wanted for a recent homicide and domestic violence case in South Dakota. When law enforcement tried to contact him in his pickup truck, the suspect drove south on I-25 and eluded officers.
The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of a man found in North Fort Collins on Wednesday.
On April 10, 2024 around 12:20 p.m., LCSO received a report of a deceased person in a ditch at Highway 287 and Taft Hill Road. A worker was performing maintenance on a culvert when he found the man. Investigators processed the scene, and the man was transported to the Larimer County Coroner’s office.

A Larimer County man has been arrested for shooting and killing multiple cattle that belonged to his neighbors.
Deputies are investigating a crash that killed one motorcycle rider and seriously injured another.
Just before 3 p.m. on April 4, 2024, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office received multiple 911 calls about a serious crash at the intersection of Highway 287 and Berthoud Parkway. LCSO deputies, Berthoud Fire, and Thompson Valley EMS medical crews responded to the scene.
