Pingree Park Rd., Buckhorn Rd., Pingree Hill Rd., and other roads in the area need routine repairs and maintenance to maintain safe, reliable routes for emergency services, local residents, and visitors accessing National Forest lands, recreational areas, and the CSU Mountain Campus.

Larimer County proposes to expand an existing gravel quarry near the CSU Mountain Campus to provide gravel for nearby roads that are important for residents, recreators, CSU Mountain Campus visitors and employees, and emergency service vehicles. The gravel extracted from the site would be used to maintain nearby County roads such as Pingree Park Rd., Buckhorn Rd., Pingree Hill Rd., and others. The project is expected to last 15 years. Larimer County is collaborating with CSU and has the support of the US Forest Service on this project.
