What is a crossing?
A crossing is a bridge or culvert that is designed to allow the movement of people or equipment across streams, rivers, creeks, or irrigation ditches.
Why do crossings need a Building Permit?
Properly designed and constructed crossings ensure public safety and compliance with drainage and floodplain requirements.
Data Centers are facilities that house servers, storage, and networking equipment to process, store, and transmit digital information for users and other systems. Currently, the Larimer County Land Use Code does not contain any definitions or regulations about data center uses in unincorporated Larimer County.

The Utilities Department has the following Plan Review comments for solar installations:
The purpose of the Site Plan Review is to ensure that plans for the development of multiple-family and non-residential uses (excluding agricultural uses) comply with all requirements of the Larimer County Land Use Code and conditions of previous approvals. This must occur before a building permit application is accepted.
As part of the 2026 budget, the Larimer County Board of County Commissioners approved a mandatory Short-Term Rental license renewal fee effective January 1, 2026. Renewal (including the new fee of $250) is required every two years on the anniversary of the original approval/license date.
