‘As-Built’ Construction

Larimer County is responsible for providing County residents with a safe environment in which to live, work, and raise families. The Building Division helps do this by administering building codes to protect lives and property from the hazards of unsafe construction. Homeowners also have a responsibility to provide a safe environment for themselves, their families, and other citizens.

This guide has been prepared to assist the lay person in complying with the requirements of all Larimer County adopted Electrical Codes and assure the installation of a safe and reliable electrical system. This guide is NOT all-inclusive for every installation and it is not an instruction manual.

On March 10, 2025, the Board of Larimer County Commissioners held a public hearing for the Platte River Power Authority 1041 permit request to install five natural gas aero-derivative turbines for electric power generation at the Rawhide Power Plant.
