Town of Estes Park Power: Plan Review of Solar Installations
The Utilities Department has the following Plan Review comments for solar installations:
The purpose of the Site Plan Review is to ensure that plans for the development of multiple-family and non-residential uses (excluding agricultural uses) comply with all requirements of the Larimer County Land Use Code and conditions of previous approvals. This must occur before a building permit application is accepted.
As part of the 2026 budget, the Larimer County Board of County Commissioners approved a mandatory Short-Term Rental license renewal fee effective January 1, 2026. Renewal (including the new fee of $250) is required every two years on the anniversary of the original approval/license date. The Board of County Commissioners unanimously adopted the 2025 Wildfire Resiliency code on September 22, 2025.
