The Planning website will undergo a redevelopment beginning on May 2, 2022 to enable staff to optimize available information for our customers. During construction the site elements and key information will remain, and may be found at larimer.org/planning. The redesign will take several months, and we aim to keep the website functional throughout this process. Please contact us at: poc@larimer.org if you need assistance locating information. Thank you, and we look forward to providing you with a more user-friendly website in the near future.

There has been confusion about new requirements in the 2020 National Electrical Code (NFPA 70) Article 210.8 (F) potentially causing nuisance tripping for some outdoor HVAC equipment using Variable Frequency Drives. Both the National Fire Protection Association and the Colorado Electrical Board have addressed this issue, in somewhat conflicting ways.
To clear up the confusion and align as much as possible with other Colorado jurisdictions, Larimer County will adhere to the temporary variance issued by the state electrical board.
