This process is for an individual or business purchasing a manufactured home from a private party or manufactured home dealer. Please review the manufactured homes information page before proceeding.
What do I need?
- Must be listed as the owner or an agent of the owner
- If the purchaser is a business, the agent acting on behalf of the business must provide a letter of authorization
- If the purchaser is an individual who will not be present at the appointment, the acting agent must have a valid power of attorney
- The title from the previous owner or paperwork from the manufactured home dealer
- DR 2395 Joint Tenancy with Rights of Survivorship, if there are multiple purchasers
- Driver’s License or other Secure and Verifiable Identification (SVID)
- Certificate of Taxes due (for used manufactured home purchases)
- $10.00 fee, available in the Treasurer & Public Trustee’s Office
- Payment - additional fees apply for credit/debit card payments
- Title fee - cash, check, or credit/debit card
- Recording fee - check or cash only
- Additional items may be required. Please have all paperwork related to your vehicle available at the time of service
Manufactured home transactions must be completed in person in the Fort Collins office and are by appointment only. Appointments are limited to two transactions per scheduled timeslot.
