Health

Logo for Healthy Larimer - Following your lead to a stronger communityWe're listening and following your lead to building a stronger community together.

The Healthy Larimer Committee (HLC) is a community-led group dedicated to empowering individuals across Larimer County by fostering social connectedness and inclusivity. They focus on supporting marginalized populations and addressing issues related to social belonging and access to health resources. Driven by a passion for equity, members amplify the voices of their communities and work to create a supportive environment where everyone feels valued.

The Healthy Larimer Committee has:

  • Shared lived experiences to guide Health Department programs.
  • Collaborated on the Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP).
  • Co-designed the prioritization process for the Community Health Assessment (CHA).
  • Assisted in community engagement, outreach, and recruitment with marginalized populations, including focus group facilitation, peer-support training, and presentations on health topics.
  • Engaged with community members and organizations to improve mental health and wellness in Larimer County and reduce stigma around mental health.

Interested in getting involved? We’d love to hear from you!

As a member, you will have the opportunity to support the work related to our mission of promoting public health and well-being in Larimer County and take on a Passion Project that aligns with your interests and skills. All members are paid an hourly stipend for attending meetings and working on related projects.

To apply, please complete our online application.

Larimer County Community Resource Guide

The Healthy Larimer Committee created a resource guide to help connect community members to local resources and services. Members of HLC noticed that many people, especially those in marginalized communities, struggled to find up-to-date, reliable information about local services. The group collaborated to gather, verify, and organize resources across different areas of need, creating a user-friendly guide that reflects the realities and strengths of the Larimer County community. The tabs below provide information about organizations that provide resources and support, organized by need.

You can access a print version of the Larimer County Community Resource Guide here:
