Carter Lake re-opens to all recreation

Recreators are welcome to return to Carter Lake for all standard recreation as of Friday, 9/20. This includes paddlecraft and motorized boating in all zones. We thank our community members for their patience while we partially restricted access to make way for fire scooper planes fighting the #PearlFire earlier in the week. Please be aware that fire suppression efforts are still ongoing and the status of Carter Lake recreation is subject to change.

LOVELAND:  Larimer County Department of Natural Resources (LCDNR) invites the community to join us as we celebrate National Public Lands Day on Saturday, Sept. 28 and throughout the preceding week.

Community members can choose between a litter clean up in the Carter Lake area or a trail construction project of the Bay to Bay Trail at Horsetooth Reservoir. The trail project is for ages 16 and above, while the litter clean up is open to all ages.
