RECREATE SAFELY!
Have you noticed algae in our waterways this summer? Algae blooms are natural in aquatic ecosystems and appear rapidly during hot weather. While most algae in ponds and lakes are not toxic, blue-green algae can be harmful if ingested by dogs, wildlife, and humans. Even contacting it while wading and swimming can make you sick.

Its Spring and Lawn Care
Its Spring! And with the warmer weather comes lawn care. Did you know your lawn can be a source of stormwater pollution? You can prevent that, however, by taking some simple steps.
Don't let your leaves and branches go down the drain
Fall Friendly Reminder: Please recycle, mulch or bag those leaves and branches and don't let them make their way to the storm drain.
Clogged storm drains cause flooding and when leaves make their way to our streams and lakes, they contribute nutrients that cause algae blooms.
Please keep our streets and waterways clean!
