Here you'll find the 401(a) Plan Document and corresponding amendments to the plan.
As a condition of employment, you are required to become a participant in the 401(a) plan upon hire in a benefited position with Larimer County.
Enrollment
Information on mandatory enrollment will be presented at your benefits orientation. Once your account has been established, you will need to designate your beneficiaries and select your investment options on the TIAA website http://www.tiaa.org/larimer. MATCHING SCHEDULES
There are three kinds of contributions:
- Mandatory employee contributions (pre-tax)
- County mandatory matching contributions
- Voluntary employee contributions (after-tax)
MANDATORY EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTIONS
Each new participant is required to contribute to the Retirement Plan. This pre-tax contribution is made through payroll deduction. The mandatory contribution amount automatically increases with your length of employment with the County, as shown in the table below.
