Our Commitment to Health & Science

LCDHE aligns with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment regarding vaccines. Colorado remains committed to protecting the health of our residents by following scientific evidence and public health best practices. Regardless of developments at the federal level, our vaccine recommendations and disease-prevention strategies are grounded in data, transparency, and expert guidance to ensure Coloradans continue to have access to safe and effective prevention tools.

As respiratory illnesses rise across Colorado ahead of the holiday season, the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment (LCDHE) is launching a new Respiratory Virus Data Dashboard to help residents stay informed about influenza, RSV, and COVID-19. The dashboard offers clear, reliable, and timely information about the respiratory viruses currently circulating in Larimer County.

Tobacco and Nicotine Information for Educators

The following training modules were created in partnership with the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment to raise awareness and understanding about the impacts of nicotine and tobacco use among adolescents and teens.

The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment (LCDHE) is encouraging everyone to take steps to stay healthy this fall and winter, including getting vaccinated against influenza (flu), COVID-19, and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), if eligible. These viruses, while different, share the potential for severe illness, hospitalization, and in rare cases, death. According to the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment Viral Respiratory Disease Dashboard, there have been 215 hospitalizations for viral respiratory diseases in Colorado in October, the majority being for COVID-19.
