The release of all Larimer County Department of Human Services (DHS) records is governed by Colorado State statute (CRS 26-1-114; CRS 19-1-307). Determination of release of records will be made in accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes.

Records may not released immediately upon request, and depending on the complexity of the record requested, can take several days to process. Please submit your request form as early as possible to avoid delays.

The Recovery & Fraud Investigation Unit is responsible for maintaining the integrity of public benefit programs by recovering overpayments made in error and following up on possible instances of fraud.

Due to the high volume of changing information that passes back and forth between our offices and our clients, there are occasional errors in calculating benefits.
