Fraudulent DMV Emails and Text Messages

These messages falsely claim recipients have unpaid tickets and threaten severe consequences such as prosecution, suspension of vehicle registration, and revocation of driving privileges. These claims are entirely false and designed to intimidate individuals into immediate compliance. Please see the Colorado Department of Revenue Fraud Alerts/Scams webpage for more information about this scam and steps to take to avoid being scammed.
