A broadband map showing broadband coverage in Colorado and Larimer County has shown some inaccuracies in coverage areas, and the creator of the map, the Federal Communications Commission is asking for the public’s help to correct those inaccuracies. There are estimates that Colorado could receive between $400 million and $700 million in broadband infrastructure improvement funding where distance, terrain, or lack of financial viability causes internet companies to bypass underserved areas.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is now accepting applications for the spring 2023 citizens academy. The academy will start February 21 and run through May 16. Classes will meet from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Tuesday nights for 12 classes and one Saturday field day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. No classes are scheduled the week of spring break.
