The Recovery & Fraud Investigation Unit is responsible for maintaining the integrity of public benefit programs by recovering overpayments made in error and following up on possible instances of fraud.

Due to the high volume of changing information that passes back and forth between our offices and our clients, there are occasional errors in calculating benefits.

About Us

Adult Protective Services receives reports of mistreatment or self-neglect of at-risk adults who, due to age or disability, are unable to advocate for themselves.  Following an assessment, Adult Protective Services will make referrals to implement services to reduce risk and prevent further mistreatment.

About Us

The Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program works to protect the rights of residents of assisted living residences and nursing facilities.  Anyone can contact the ombudsman with concerns.

The Colorado Low-income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) helps Coloradans pay a part of their home heating costs. The program aims to help reduce some of the burdens associated with a cold Colorado winter.  This may include assistance with heating costs, equipment repair and/or replacement of inoperable heating tools. 

About the Child Support Services Program:

Child Support Services (CSS) oversees the state's child support system. Individual child support orders are managed by Colorado's county child support offices. There is no fee to apply for child support services.

About Us

The Colorado Child Care Assistance Program (CCCAP) provides child care assistance to families who meet the income guidelines, meet current eligibility requirements, and families who are enrolled in the Colorado Works program. CCAP provides access to reduced cost child care at licensed child care facilities or qualified (unlicensed) providers.
