Planning for your best future

Navigating long-term care, understanding eligibility, and applying for benefits can be overwhelming, but the Office on Aging has personalized, one-on-one support services that can help you plan confidently for your future.   Below, learn about:

What is an Area Agency on Aging?

The Larimer County Office on Aging is located in the Department of Human Services, but it is also the Area Agency on Aging (AAA or “triple A”) for Larimer County. Area Agencies on Aging (AAA) are designated for every part of our country and are mandated under the Older Americans Act to support certain programs through community partners and provide direct services to our community.

The Disability Navigator Program helps individuals with a disability or blindness and financial needs secure Supplemental Security Income (SSI). Individuals work with a Disability Navigator to complete the SSI application, a process that can be lengthy and difficult without help.

To improve visibility and participation, Larimer County Department of Human Services has joined the Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System. The Rocky Mountain E-Purchasing System (Bidnet Direct®) is an online notification system that is being utilized by multiple governmental entities. Participating entities post their solicitations, amendments, proposals, and awards on this one centralized system.
